Practical Answers Before You Request a Quotation
Follow the questions from selection and customization through order confirmation, delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
Define the Right Fan Before Quotation
A useful proposal starts with the duty, installation, electrical supply, and the decision the buyer needs to make.
What information is needed to select an industrial fan?
Provide required airflow, static or total pressure, medium, temperature, dust or moisture conditions, installation method, duct information, operating hours, voltage, frequency, phase, and quantity. If some values are unknown, send the site size, process description, photographs, and layout.
Can I request a quotation using only a model number?
Yes, when the exact model and configuration are already known. Include the complete model, size, motor power, voltage, frequency, quantity, and required accessories. Similar model names may cover several performance ranges or construction options.
How do I request a replacement for an existing fan?
Send clear photographs of the fan and nameplate, current duty, main dimensions, rotation, discharge direction, installation arrangement, motor data, and the reason for replacement. The old model number alone may not confirm the actual operating point.
Which parts of the fan can be customized?
Customization can be evaluated around the product itself: airflow and pressure duty, impeller and casing material, corrosion or wear-resistant coating, drive arrangement, discharge direction, base, inlet and outlet interfaces, guards, and practical accessories. Feasibility depends on the product, operating condition, and order quantity.
Can the motor match our local voltage and frequency?
Motor voltage, frequency, phase, protection level, insulation class, installation form, and efficiency requirement can be reviewed for the destination market. State the electrical supply before selection because 50 Hz and 60 Hz can change motor speed, fan performance, absorbed power, and the final model configuration.
Confirm the Product Before Production
Drawings and documents should match the exact model, size, motor, and order configuration—not only the product family.
Are CAD or STEP drawings available?
Availability varies by model and project stage. State the exact product, size, configuration, required file format, and how the drawing will be used. Final installation should use the approved drawing associated with the confirmed order.
What technical documents can be requested?
Depending on the product and order scope, available information may include technical data, performance curves, outline or installation drawings, motor data, wiring information, packing data, inspection photographs, or run-test records. List mandatory documents during inquiry so availability can be confirmed in the quotation.
Which certificates are supplied?
Certificate availability depends on the actual fan, motor, destination market, and agreed order scope. State any mandatory compliance or origin documents during inquiry and verify that each document applies to the quoted configuration before ordering.
What must be approved before production starts?
Confirm the fan model, duty, motor and electrical supply, material, rotation and discharge, quantity, accessories, drawings, inspection points, packing, trade term, delivery schedule, and required documents in the quotation, proforma invoice, contract, or approved technical sheet.
Move from Quotation to Delivery
Commercial details are confirmed for the actual model, quantity, destination, and delivery arrangement.
Is there a minimum order quantity, and can I order a sample?
Minimum quantity and sample feasibility depend on the model, motor, customization, packing, and transport cost. Send the required configuration and destination so a practical trial or small-order option can be evaluated.
How are price, payment terms, and quotation validity confirmed?
The formal quotation or proforma invoice should state the quoted configuration, quantity, currency, unit price, payment terms, validity period, lead time, and exclusions. Confirm these commercial terms before releasing the order or arranging payment.
Which trade terms and shipping arrangements are available?
State the destination port or delivery location and whether you need an EXW, FOB, CIF, or another agreed trade term. The quotation should clarify which party arranges inland transport, export handling, freight, insurance, import clearance, duties, and final delivery.
What determines production lead time?
Lead time depends on model, quantity, motor availability, customization, drawing approval, payment milestone, inspection, documentation, and packing. The required delivery date should be discussed during quotation and the confirmed schedule recorded in the order documents.
Can inspection be arranged before shipment?
Agreed checks may include appearance, main dimensions, rotation, electrical data, trial running, photographs, video, or third-party inspection coordination. Inspection scope, acceptance criteria, timing, and responsibility should be confirmed before production.
How are export orders packed and which shipping documents are prepared?
Packing is selected according to product size, weight, sensitivity, shipment method, and destination requirements. The agreed order may include a commercial invoice, packing list, shipping data, and specifically requested certificates or origin documents. Confirm crate, pallet, moisture protection, fumigation, marking, and document requirements before order release.
Install, Operate, and Resolve Issues
Correct installation records and clear operating evidence make technical support faster and more useful.
What should be checked before installation?
Confirm the foundation, clearances, airflow direction, rotation, flexible connections, duct loading, guards, fasteners, electrical supply, grounding, and access for inspection. Installation must follow the supplied documentation and applicable local requirements.
Can the fan run directly after wiring?
Rotation should first be checked with a brief controlled start. Verify there is no interference, abnormal noise, excessive vibration, incorrect current, blocked airflow, or loose connection before continuous operation.
How often should a fan be inspected?
The interval depends on duty, environment, operating hours, dust load, temperature, and drive type. Establish a site-specific schedule covering bearings, fasteners, vibration, noise, current, belts, guards, impeller deposits, corrosion, and clearances.
Can you assist with installation questions and spare parts?
For an identified order and model, installation questions and suitable spare-part requirements can be reviewed using drawings, photographs, video, operating data, and a clear description of the issue. Send the fan nameplate and order reference to avoid matching the wrong configuration.
How are warranty or after-sales claims handled?
The applicable warranty scope and period should be stated in the confirmed quotation, proforma invoice, or contract. For a claim, provide the order reference, model and serial information, installation and operating conditions, photographs or video, measured current or vibration where relevant, and a description of when the issue occurred. The evidence is reviewed before the appropriate corrective action is agreed.
