Two quotations with similar model names may describe very different products and supply scopes. A useful comparison normalizes the technical and commercial basis before focusing on unit price.
Align the technical basis
- Airflow, static or total pressure, and air density
- Fan size, speed, efficiency, and absorbed power
- Material, coating, drive, orientation, and accessories
- Motor voltage, frequency, phase, efficiency, and protection
- Noise, temperature, dust, corrosion, and duty requirements
Compare the included scope
Check whether the price includes motors, guards, bases, flexible connectors, dampers, controls, drawings, test records, inspection, export packing, spare parts, and required documents.
Review commercial conditions
Compare quantity, currency, payment terms, production lead time, quotation validity, warranty statement, Incoterm, loading point, freight scope, and exclusions. Resolve unclear items in writing and ensure the final PI or contract matches the approved technical configuration.
